Clear Lake State Park is located about three miles northeast of Kelseyville, on Soda Bay Road, on the shores of California's largest natural freshwater lake, popular for all kinds of water recreation, including swimming, fishing, boating, and water-skiing. Anglers can catch large mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, and channel catfish.
The park offers camping, picnicking, hiking, fishing, swimming, and boating facilities (see Map).
Located in this protected oak woodlands, an outstanding number of birds and animals are seen year-round in the park. Hikers enjoy the self-guided Indian Nature Trail, the 2 1/2-mile ADA-accessible Dorn trail and the riparian Boardwalk Trail. The park visitor center features displays about the area's natural and cultural history. Interpretive activities are held regularly during the summer months.
