Annual Park Events Heron Festival & Wildflower Brunch Annual Event – Fourth Weekend in April The Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association (CLSPIA) and the Redbud Audubon Society, Inc. present this annual event. In 1994 Redbud Audubon Society initiated the Heron Festival in Anderson Marsh State Historic Park at the south end of Clear Lake. They offered pontoon boat tours along the waterways and a weekend of nature related programs. In 2004, the decision was made to move the festival to the Clear Lake State Park and join with CLSPIA who had been featuring since 1996 a spring Wildflower Brunch and specific nature related activities in the park since 1996. The two organizations now present the Heron Festival & Wildflower Brunch the fourth weekend in April. Admission fee to the park for the two-day event is waived. No other event showcases the natural beauty of Lake County so well. Last year’s attendance was 1,300, with many visiting our area for the first time. Clear Lake State Park Interpretive Association (CLSPIA) and Redbud Audubon Society present this weekend filled with nature related activities. The work of the two groups intermingles and the proceeds from the event stay in the community to further environmental education. All activities are free except for the Wildflower Brunch and pontoon boat-rides.
